xByte Technologies, appointed Ryan Brown as Chief Executive Officer as of January 1, 2015. Wanting to spend more time with family and on philanthropic ventures, founder and previous CEO Tom Santilli and COO and partner Stephen Jaynes have stepped down and taken on advisory roles as board members for xByte Technologies.
Ryan Brown has been with xByte Technologies just over 5 years, most recently as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he oversaw all aspects of sales, market strategy, and brand management. In 2014, he led the sales team to multiple record-breaking sales months, demonstrating his aptitude for growth and ability to lead a company.
“I started xByte Technologies out of my living room almost 14 years ago, and built the business on the foundation of quality products and exceptional customer service,” Tom Santilli, former CEO and current Chairman stated. “xByte is growing exponentially, and I know that Ryan possesses the intellect, business experience, vision, and leadership skills that will take xByte to the next level; all without compromising the foundation on which the company was built.”

Ryan graduated from Virginia Tech with an Accounting Information Systems degree and has been in the IT industry for 15 years. He began his IT career by talking to customers about their business needs as a sales engineer for an ERP software company. From there, he transitioned into product management, marketing, and sales management. Beyond knowledge of both software and hardware technologies, he has an expertise in understanding business needs and finding the right solution.
